deviant Ambassadors

I want to thank Susaye who's been working with me on getting all you lovely deviant artists helping us out over at the OMM. You guys are ambassadors because you know your digital art, but don't forget that this project is for all abilities. We need you to send out ecards and invitations to everyone you know - artistic or not - and twist their arm to join.

Why I Blog

Last year I was asked by my local development agency to talk to school children and young adults about starting businesses and life as an entrepreneur. Naturally I balked at the idea. Nothing terrifies me more than standing in front of 30 young people, desperately trying to keep them interested in what I’m saying.

After further discussions it was suggested that I might blog about my experiences as a young businesses owner and social entrepreneur, so that younger people might get a flavour of the kind of issues I face in a medium they understand.

I'm currently in my (late!) twenties and have built up several businesses ranging from car dashboards, software sales, website design and restaurants. My current project is a major charity arts event. I have a strong form of the learning difficulty dyscalculia, but hope to show others that the disorder can be overcome by effective coping strategies and a lot of confidence!

So here I am.
